Meet GG
After being misdiagnosed for over a year ... GG (Gianna) was taken to St. Joe's where Gigi was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma on 9/11/17.
Gianna went through 6 rounds of chemo 5 rounds of immunotherapy. 8 weeks of radiation twice on multiple areas. Surgery to remove the tumors. A bone marrow transplant. And countless times being put under for scans and other treatment.
The whole time Gianna was in this process she stayed smiling. Her and the other children would play on the hospital floors in the playrooms like there was nothing even wrong. It was amazing to see the little Fighters going through their own fights and still lifting up one another and being inspirational caring compassionate and encouraging to one another.
Gianna passed away on 10-19-2018 only 4 days after her third birthday. Gianna's page went worldwide where she had over a hundred fifty thousand followers.
If nothing else I just hope that her story spreads awareness to let the world know what these little angels go through. And to bring awareness that Childhood Cancer is not rare. My daughter taught myself and many others what a true fighter looks like. No matter what the pain she still loved to jump in muddy puddles and dance in the rain. Whatever battle you're facing just know that you're not alone somewhere somebody is praying for you and encouraging you rooting for you and watching over you as you #fighton.
